Here’s What the Stars Have to Say About the 2024 Presidential Election Results

The swing states are a toss-up.

As we reach Election Day, our collective months of poll stalking and social media temperature checks will finally reach a dramatic close. But there’s one more resource to consider consulting for a prediction of America’s presidential pick—the stars.

In years past, Election Day astrology and candidates’ horoscopes have successfully reflected the outcomes of national votes. “In 2016, I didn’t think Hilary Clinton would win because her chart didn’t have any hard aspects to the astrology that was going on,” says astrologer Lisa Stardust. And this year’s forecast should be no different. According to Lisa, the zodiac is a common reference point for people trying to alleviate confusion about the fate of our nation.

“In terms of uncertainty, people always look to different modalities to kind of understand what’s going on in the world, just because it gives them a different understanding of things. It’s harmless to look at the stars to predict what’s happening,” Stardust says. So what are those stars saying? Read on.

Pennsylvania has been at the center of the swing state conversation because it holds the most electoral votes—but more importantly, Uranus in Taurus is on the state’s ascendant, making it a super-exciting time for Pennsylvanians. (Okay, obviously their electoral power is the more critical attention draw.)

According to the current setup in the sky, Pennsylvania’s pendulum should swing Kamala’s way. “A lot of the planets of Philadelphia’s birth chart fall in her 7th House of partnerships,” says Stardust. She also predicts that Georgia, a state with its Sun in Capricorn and Moon in Scorpio will go for Trump, while Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina’s Libra Moons bode well for Kamala, a Libra Sun. (Yes, states and cities have birth charts, just like people do.)

So who’s going to win?

Right now, the Vice President has Jupiter on her ascendant, with Saturn and Neptune situated in her 10th House of career and reputation—and that activation indicates that she has a higher chance of winning than Trump does. Trump and his running mate J. D. Vance have fairly similar charts, and they’re both being lit up by Uranus and Jupiter transiting their 10th houses. The difference is that Uranus is a fairly unpredictable planet, so this transit for Trump and Vance could mean things like seemingly “guaranteed” states going against them, and confusion around the results.

Stardust says the astrology definitely points to a tight race. “The U.S. right now is going through its Pluto Return. Pluto is the planet that likes to blow things up to make them better,” she says. “I don’t think we’re gonna know the answer tomorrow—it’ll be Wednesday morning—and they’re already anticipating that. I think it’s gonna be the closest election.”
