Prince William and Prince Harry Will Reportedly Meet for the First Time in Years, but No One’s “Putting Pressure” on Meghan Markle or Kate Middleton
· CosmopolitanPrince Harry is reportedly bringing Meghan Markle, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet to England for the Invictus Games, and they’re expected to meet up with King Charles…and maaaaybe Prince William?
The meeting will be the first time Charles has seen his grandchildren in quite some time, but Harry’s potential reunion with William is an even bigger deal due to their endlessly long feud.
The brothers haven’t been on speaking terms in years, but Shuter Scoop reports that William is open to seeing his estranged brother and understands why it’s important that he visit their dad.
“William knows this visit is bigger than old arguments,” a source says. “His father wants to see Archie and Lilibet, and William understands why that matters.”
As for Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, there are no firm plans for them to meet up—at least not yet. “Nobody is putting pressure on Catherine or Meghan,” an insider explains. “If they see each other, great. If they don’t, that’s okay too.”
There is hope, however, that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet could get a chance to meet their cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. “Everyone agrees it would be wonderful if the children could spend time together,” says a source. “But right now, the focus is simply making the visit happen. This isn’t about settling scores. It’s about taking a small step forward. William is prepared to see Harry. Everything else remains a work in progress.”
