‘DTF St. Louis’ Fans Think Clark’s Wife Framed Him for Murder, and the Evidence Is Compelling

Eimy is a bit of a mystery on DTF St. Louis.

DTF St. Louis has set up one of those delicious murder mysteries where just about every character has motive and nobody is taking responsibility. While Clark (Jason Bateman) is about to be on trial for the murder of his friend/rival Lloyd (David Harbour), fans online are looking at other suspects.

Don’t let this show distract you with dry humor and sick dance moves courtesy of Harbour himself. There’s a potential murder to solve! The facts are already so juicy. We know that Floyd was found dead at a community pool. He was allegedly there to meet an anonymous man named “Tiger Tiger” from a dating app called “DTF St. Louis” that caters to married, middle-aged, discreet swingers and adulterers. The toxicology report indicates he was poisoned. Floyd’s wife Carol (Linda Cardellini) and Clark were having an affair, and Floyd knew. There’s also some business with Floyd posing for Indiana Jones-themed pornography that has really entranced the lead detective.

We know that a recumbent bicycle, like the one Clark rides to work, got caught on camera leaving the scene. The detectives also uncovered that the “Tiger Tiger” account came from Clark’s IP address and credit card. Ergo, Clark was arrested and charged with murder.

Was he trying to keep Carol for himself? Did she put him up to it? Carol was interested in Floyd having a life insurance policy right before he died. That’s pretty textbook “the wife did it” material, if you ask me. But what about Clark’s wife? At the end of the second, episode Clark calls Eimy (Wynn Everett) from prison and says he didn’t do it. What one theory posits is… she did.

We don’t know much about this character so far. Everett is a guest star on the series. If you happen to be a fan of superhero shows like Agent Carter and Doom Patrol, you know she has a villainous side. Is the show intentionally keeping her in the background to make the big murder reveal even more surprising?

It’s always the quiet ones, right? As one fan pointed out on Reddit, Eimy has had access to the DTF app on her husband’s phone, his money, his IP address, any medication he had around, as well as his bike. She might even have more access to possible poisons than he does, depending on where she does volunteer work. What if she works at a hospital or emergency room? What if she killed him to frame her husband? It’s complicated, but everything on this show is pretty dang complicated.

To be fair, some Redditors are also suspicious of Floyd’s stepson, who didn’t have the best relationship with him at the beginning of the show. There are so many possibilities. Floyd may have died by suicide. It could have been an accidental death. (In the murder case that vaguely inspired the series, the cause of death was a heart attack and ultimately ruled not a homicide.) Maybe Peter Sarsgaard’s mysterious bisexual character “Modern Love,” who made out with Floyd in a parking lot at least one time, is the murderer. Who knows!?

I’m just saying, keep an eye on Eimy. What’s she up to? Why hasn’t she had anything to add? Even if it’s just another affair in the tangled web this show is weaving, I’d like to know. But if anyone is going to slink out the shadows as the Big Bad, it’s gotta be her.
