Source Says Taylor Swift and Gabbriette’s Bachelorette Parties Being the Same Weekend Was a Total Coincidence

Depending on how online you are, you may or may not have noticed that Taylor Swift and Gabbriette had their bachelorette parties last weekend. Taylor’s was pretty under-the-radar (and still technically unconfirmed!), while Gabbriette went ahead and dropped party pics from Las Vegas:

Naturally, people are reading into things, but please be advised that Taylor’s bachelorette allegedly being on the same day as Gabbriette’s (who—reminder—is engaged to Tay’s ex, Matty Healy) was pure coincidence.

A source tells The Daily Mail that “It’s a total coincidence the parties were the same weekend. Matty and Taylor were more of a hookup, so I don’t think anyone is thinking much of the other.”

The source added, “The two ladies celebrating their bachelorette parties would have nothing to do with one another and a complete coincidence” and then claimed that “Taylor and Matty were never even that serious.”

Gabbriette held her bachelorette party in Las Vegas and chilled with an Elvis Presley impersonator before hitting up Dita Von Teese’s residency. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift kept things significantly more private, but was seen boarding a plane to Rhode Island—where she owns a home—and TMZ reported that “tons” of her friends “pulled up to her house this week to hang with the bride-to-be.” Fireworks were also seen near the property, though there was also a neighborhood wedding that weekend, so they could be unrelated.

Either way, Gabbriette and Taylor both simply happen to be celebrating their upcoming weddings at the same time. That’s all!
