'Pioneer Woman' Ree Drummond's son arrested on drug, assault charges

"Pioneer Woman" Ree Drummond's foster son is facing legal trouble after getting arrested in Alabama.

According to an inmate record online, the 57-year-old TV personality's son, Jamar Goff, 23, was arrested on Sept. 15 while at the University of Alabama Birmingham and booked on charges of drug possession and 2nd degree assault on a police officer.

He is also being held on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and for attempting to elude a police officer.

Goff is currently being held at Jefferson County Jail in Birmingham, Alabama on a $35,000 bond.

Fox News Digital has reached out to representatives for Drummond.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, officers responded to a call about a suspicious person on the campus, and later found Goff sleeping shirtless on a bench near a fountain.

When approached by officers, Goff allegedly told them he was on campus because he was waiting for someone who was going to sell him "ice," which TMZ notes the documents say is another way to refer to methamphetamine.

Initially, the officers let Goff go, but after learning he had a warrant out for his arrest, approached him again and tried to handcuff him, which is when he ran away and allegedly hit an officer with an open palm.

The court documents state that officers then went through Goff's backpack, in which they allegedly found a glass pipe. After searching his person, they also allegedly found 1.8 grams of methamphetamine on him.

Drummond revealed she was fostering Goff in November 2020 in her book, "Frontier Follies," in which she shared he had been living with them for about a year-and-a-half, and had become "an inextricable part of our wacky family."

"The state agency that handles fostering has strict rules against posting about foster children on social media, which I get. But mostly, and this is slightly related, I feel protective of Jamar and have always wanted his story to be his own and not fodder for my social media," she wrote about why she kept him off socials prior. "Also, I’ve never wanted to subject Jamar to more attention than he wanted or needed before he had a chance to settle in and get his bearings in our home. We needed to let things breathe!"

In addition to Goff, Drummond and her husband, Ladd, share four biological children; Alex, 29, Paige, 27, Bryce, 24, and Todd, 22.
