Nepal bus tragedy:18 people killed as bus falls into river in Dhading
Around eighteen people were killed and twenty five people were injured in the accident.

Besides this approx twenty five passengers were injured in the accident. The bus reportedly coming from Pokhara plunged into Trishuli river when it reached Chinadhara, a place near Charaundi which is in ward 3 of Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality along the Prithvi Highway, about 90 km west of Kathmandu at 1:30 am, The Hindu reported citing Armed Police Force.
As per ANI reports, Rajkumar Thakuri, who heads the Highway Rescue Management Committee, said 25 injured passengers have been taken to hospital for treatment. The bus was carrying over 35 people at the time of the incident.
Rescue efforts are being carried out by teams from the Nepali Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police, along with local residents, according to The Kathmandu Post. Officials noted that the accident occurred at night, which has complicated the ongoing rescue operation.
Among those killed in the accident, one male passenger is from New Zealand. One Japanese and a Dutch national, both women, were among those injured in the incident.
The exact cause of the accident is unknown, and could not be ascertained.
