Trailing candidates include CPI(M)'s Advocate A M Ariff, Hakhikhath Hameed of AAP, and M A Brahmaraj of BJP.

In the 2021 assembly elections, Sadath had won the same seat by a margin of 18,886 votes, with Independent candidate Ar Shelna Nishad finishing as runner-up with 54,817 votes. BJP's M N Gopi was among the other candidates in that contest. The Aluva constituency has a total electorate of approximately 1,82,360 voters across urban and rural segments.
