Harrison Ford Dons a Kilt to His Glenmorangie Whisky Launch Party: ‘It’s a Bit Breezy’

by · Variety

It’s not every day you encounter Harrison Ford wearing a kilt at the Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles.

But that’s what happened Monday when the “Indiana Jones” and “Star Wars” legend celebrated the launch of his new Glenmorangie limited-edition Highland single malt Scotch whisky. “It’s a rare treat,” Ford told me about his tartan number. “It’s extremely comfortable. It’s a bit breezy, but I’m a breezy guy.”

He’s says the kilt – which he wore with black socks, a T-shirt and a jacket – is the only one he owns. Glenmorangie gifted it to him when they first collaborated in an ad campaign directed by Joel Edgerton in January 2025.

The idea for the new whisky, officially called Glenmorangie Harrison Ford Limited Edition, was hatched when Ford filmed the Edgerton spots at the Glenmorangie distillery in Scotland. “First, I had quite a bit of knowledge to gain about their particular whiskies and the methods of work,” the “Shrinking” star recalled. “We began to narrow down my taste profile, more like tasting than describing in words because I didn’t have the words yet. It was an interesting process that went on for almost a year.”

Glenmorangie Harrison Ford Limited Edition is available for $99.99 at glenmorangie.com, via Reservebar and at select retailers nation-wide.

Meanwhile, Ford told me that “Shrinking” Season 4 starts shooting next week. “We have 12 episodes to do,” he said.

The Season 3 finale premiered in early April. As previously reported by Variety’s Michael Schneider, the cast – including Ford, Jason Segel, Jessica Williams and Michale Urie, are returning for the fourth season of the Apple TV series, but will include a time jump and follow completely different storylines.

“I think people will feel when they come back to this show that it’s a completely different story,” series creator Bill Lawrence said in an April 6 interview with Variety. “We feel that the characters of this show have enough stuff going on in their life that we were interested in seeing what a new story for these characters looks like… We’re already deep into the writers room, in the fourth season, so I’m lucky enough to know what happens. And I think people will dig it.”
