by · WORLD OF BUZZ

The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) yesterday (4 August) recovered a body from the Klang River with the skin on both hands and feet completely peeled off.

At around 12:58 PM, officers at the Subang Jaya District Police Headquarters (IPD) Control Centre received a report from a member of the public regarding the discovery near the Binaform Sdn Bhd factory in USJ 1, Subang Jaya.

Foreign woman’s identity card found in crossbody bag

In a statement, Subang Jaya District Police Chief ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat confirmed that the deceased has since been identified as an Indonesian woman.

Preliminary investigations at the scene revealed that the woman’s face was severely decomposed, and the skin on both her hands and feet had peeled off. She was fully clothed, wearing a yellow jacket and a pair of light-coloured jeans.

A further examination uncovered a crossbody bag containing an Indonesian electronic identity card (e-KTP) and a photograph believed to be of the deceased.

Case classified as sudden death

The body was sent to the Forensic Department at Hospital Serdang for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death. As there were no initial signs of foul play, the case is currently classified as a Sudden Death Report (SDR).

Police are urging anyone with information about the case, or anyone missing a family member, to contact the USJ 8 Police Station at 03-7862 7222 to assist investigations.
