Searches in Rathfarnham over 2009 murder investigation
· RTE.ieA search is under way of lands in Rathfarnham in Dublin as part of the investigation into the murder of a 42-year-man 17 years ago.
The body of Liam Murray was discovered at his home in Rathfarnham on 20 March 2009.
Gardaí believe he spent much of 17 March - St Patrick's Day - in the Headline Bar on Clanbrassil Street before making his way towards his home at Rockbrook Cottages, Edmondstown Road in Rathfarnham at around 6.20pm.
He was driving a black Mitsubishi Pajero and the last known sighting of him was on the evening of 17 March 2009.
Mr Murray was 1.77m tall of stocky build and with short, dark brown, curly hair.
Gardaí said the focus of their investigation is Mr Murray and his family.
They are appealing to any person who met, spoke or had any interaction with Mr Murray leading up to the discovery of his body on 20 March 2009.
