Traffic restrictions as EU ministers meet in Dublin
· RTE.ieTraffic restrictions will be in place in several parts of Dublin city tomorrow as an informal meeting of EU ministers responsible for environment and climate takes place.
The two-day meeting gets under way in Dublin Castle tomorrow afternoon and will conclude on Friday evening.
Gardaí say there will be intermittent, localised temporary traffic restrictions and garda motorcycle rolling road closures to facilitate security escorts from 3.30pm to 5pm between the south city centre Dublin 8 and Pigeon House Road, Dublin 4.
Gardaí are asking the public to comply with gardaí on duty in the event of encountering any escort rolling road closure.
A policing and security operation is in place at Dublin Castle for the duration of Ireland's EU Presidency and gardaí say that Castle Street, Ship Street Little and Ship Street Great are closed to both traffic and pedestrians 31 December, but local access is being facilitated.
