Don’t let the deniers ignore this record of Hamas’ Oct. 7 sexual atrocities
· New York PostLet nothing bury “Silenced No More,” the Civil Commission on October 7th Crimes Against Women and Children report: The entire world needs to learn from this harrowing, detailed and thoroughly documented account of Hamas’ organized and systematic sexual violence in its vicious attack on Israeli civilians.
The terror apologists and the look-away deniers want it all forgotten; these researchers have instead built a permanent record of the horrors.
Israel-haters immediately celebrated the Oct. 7, 2023, attacks — but when it didn’t break the Jewish state but instead brought a righteous response, they turned to minimizing the atrocities.
A chorus rapidly formed to deny the mass rapes and other sexual violence, to insist there was no “proof,” no women coming forth with testimony.
Well, the Civil Commission’s report is replete with evidence and testimony — likely more than the “skeptics” can stomach.
It’s grisly reading: Hostage after hostage — men and women — detail the grotesque sexual humiliations their captors inflicted.
Researchers examined testimonies as well as photo and video footage from the Nova Music Festival, dozens of kibbutzim and villages and military bases overrun by thousands of invaders.
At Nova, “bodies were later found burned, mutilated or shot, including documented cases of victims who were found naked or partially dressed and who sustained gunshot wounds to the face and genital area.”
More: “Multiple accounts from first responders describe female bodies with signs of sexual abuse.
“Female bodies were found naked or partially naked, in some cases with aluminum cans, grenades, nails, blunt objects, rods, household tools and spike-like instruments, inserted into genitals and other parts of the body, as well as with multiple gunshot wounds, cutting injuries and targeted burning in genitalia and breasts, or the face.”
Remember, please, that the perps themselves filmed and even livestreamed much of this savagery.
They were gleefully proud of their atrocities; it was a major part of the mission, meant to crush Israeli spirits and force submission to the terror masters’ will.
This is why they produced the same horrors across dozens of sites.
The Oct. 7 rapes and torture weren’t rogue acts by undisciplined irregulars; they were planned and organized as a weapon of war.
It should be the eternal shame of publications like The New York Times and The Guardian, and politicians like Reps. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) that they minimized, justified and “gave context” to whitewash the intentional monstrosity of these assaults.
The report of the Civil Commission is a necessary catalog of evil and a rebuke to Hamas’ fans in the West.
It should be required reading for anyone who dares opine about the attacks, Israel’s response or the makings of any possible Middle East peace.
