The Issue: NYPD Commissioner Tisch calling for “moral clarity” between heroes and terrorists of 9/11.

NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch’s call to distinguish the heroes of 9/11 from the terrorists who murdered them confirms once again her extraordinary potential to help wrest New York politics from radicals who disparage the city’s heroes and blur the moral distinction between victim and murderer (“ ‘Moral clarity’ clearly needed,” Liel Leibovitz, Sept. 11).

New York City and state could scarcely find a more compelling future candidate for mayor or governor than the intrepid Tisch. New York voters need to summon some “moral clarity” of their own.

The photo of Mayor Mamdani listening to Tisch give her “moral clarity” speech is worth a thousand words.

His constant, wide grin has given way to a face of cold stone. When he is up to no good, he radiates that famous smile. But when confronted with remembering the good done by the FDNY and NYPD heroes of 9/11, his grin vanishes.

As Tisch said, “shame on those” who lack the moral clarity to be able to distinguish heroes from terrorists. Mamdani belongs in the hall of shame.

While giving her speech, the commissioner looked proud to be an American and a New Yorker, while the mayor looked like an adolescent who has been punished.

The depth to which he has fooled so many people and hidden what is really in his heart is evident in that photograph.

Tisch clearly stood up to Mayor Mamdani — not in the newspaper and not on social media, but face to face. It takes courage to criticize your boss and establish moral clarity where he has none.

She is setting herself up to be the next mayor of New York City. The city would be better off with her.

Congratulations to Jessica Tisch for her speech at the 9/11 Memorial Dedication. She said what needed to be said: Terrorists caused death, destruction and complete carnage to all Americans on that day.

Also, congratulations to her for wiping the ever-present “smirk” off Mamdani’s face.

The Issue: A Brooklyn judge letting the West India Day shooter out on bail for a previous alleged shooting.

So, Judge Janice Robinson released Nayshawn Wilkinson after he was charged with attempted murder for firing shots at a 15-year-old boy (“This justice blind & dumb,” Sept. 9).

Now, he allegedly shot another man at the West Indian Day Parade.

This no-bail nonsense is ridiculous and stupid. I would think one’s brain would have to be extracted to release these types of people back on the street. What is that saying: Stupid is as stupid does.

Judge Robinson is a disgrace. How many more people have to suffer needlessly because she continues to release violent criminals from prison only to have them harm more people?

The problem isn’t incompetence — it’s an adherence to a woke ideology that values criminals over innocent people for a variety of sinister reasons.

This judge is dangerous, and she will continue to administer her own brand of sick ideological justice no matter how many people die. She needs to be removed.
