‘We are still here’: The Muslim Brotherhood's gambit in response to Sharaa
The Syrian branch of the Brotherhood says it does not intend to dissolve, as had been suggested by a close advisor of the president.

"Building a stable Syria requires the participation of all its components in political life, within a pluralistic system based on the rule of law and political freedoms," the statement reads. This position could be seen as a challenge to the transitional authorities, since several members of President Ahmad al-Sharaa’s inner circle had called for dismantling the Brotherhood, which has been significantly weakened in recent years.
