Used sporadically by Hezbollah during previous phases of its war against Israel since October 2023, they have clearly taken a prominent role in operations over the past several weeks in southern Lebanon.In Taybeh, Qantara, Bint Jbeil, Beit Lif, Mais al-Jabal, and Bayyada, Israeli soldiers and armored vehicles have been relentlessly targeted in recent days by "explosive drones" with the distinctive feature of being connected to their pilot by a fiber-optic cable.
