Police have issued an update on their investigation into the death of a man in Gwynedd. Officers were called to Pwllheli on Saturday, November 9 and a man was arrested.

At the time North Wales Police said a police presence would remain in the area but it has now confirmed the death is no longer being treated as suspicious and the man arrested has been released from police custody.

A force statement on Sunday read: "In respect of our investigation into the death of a local man in Pwllheli yesterday afternoon (9th November), we would like to update the local community that the death is no longer being treated as suspicious. A local male initially arrested in connection with the death has since been released from police custody.

"Our officers will now be working to provide a report for HM Coroner. Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the gentleman who has passed away. We would also like to thank the community of Pwllheli for their patience and understanding whilst our enquiries were conducted in the area."
