The road transport department (JPJ) is showing it means business – after crackdowns in Kedah, KL, Selangor and Kelantan, Pahang JPJ has issued 215 notices – including 115 saman – and seized three private vehicles for various offences under Ops Pengarah, which was conducted at the Bentong toll plaza on December 18, Bernama reports. A total of 850 vehicles were inspected.

“This continuous enforcement is carried out to ensure the road traffic regulations compliance rate remains at the highest level, in addition to demonstrating JPJ’s presence at all locations to increase road users’ awareness and safety,” Pahang JPJ director Syed Ahmad Khirulanwar Alyahya Syed Abdul Rahman said yesterday in a statement.

Pahang JPJ also teamed up with its Terengganu and Kelantan counterparts on the December 15-17 Ops Khas Rentas Sempadan Zon Timur 2025 at the Kuantan-Kemaman, Lipis-Gua Musang and Cameron Highlands-Lojing state borders, which saw 132 vehicles inspected, action taken against 29 of them and 78 saman issued for various offences, including eight overloading cases. One lorry driven by a foreign national without a driving licence was seized.
