Mangaluru, May 2: The administrative board of Kudroli temple has clarified that no court verdict has been passed regarding the formation of a new committee and alleged attempts are being made by certain individuals to create confusion over the temple’s administration. The clarification was issued in the presence of veteran leader Janardhana Poojary.

Addressing a press conference held at the temple auditorium, temple treasurer R Padmaraj said he was surprised to hear claims that new office-bearers had been elected through the Akhila Bharata Billava Union and that a court had ruled in their favour. He alleged that false statements were being spread without documentary proof to mislead the public.

Temple counsel Chidananda Kedilaya stated that the present administrative committee headed by H S Jairaj Somasundaram was formed on June 20, 2025. He said that an objection petition was later filed by H S Sairam on July 18, 2025, challenged the committee’s formation, but no order has been issued in the matter so far.

He further explained that a civil court does not have the authority to decide disputes related to the temple and that such jurisdiction lies with the district court.

Padmaraj also warned that suitable legal action would be initiated against those attempting to create confusion.

The press meet was attended by administrative board president H S Jairaj Somasundaram, development committee member Devendra Poojary, and other key members.
