Novak Djokovic documentary coming to Prime Video in August
by Annie Martin · UPIJune 26 (UPI) -- Novak Djokovic: The Wolf in Winter, a new documentary about Serbian tennis pro Novak Djokovic, will premiere on Prime Video in August.
The streaming service announced an Aug. 20 release date for the feature-length documentary film in a press release Friday.
The Wolf in Winter explores the life of Djokovic, 39, who "began playing on the hardscrabble courts of Serbia and rose to become the most accomplished champion in the history of men's tennis," according to an official synopsis.
Djokovic is a four-time U.S. Open and seven-time Wimbledon champion player who holds a record 24 Grand Slam titles, along with an Olympic gold medal for his performance at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.
"Tennis has given me so much, but the greatest battles were never only on the court. This documentary is about the moments people didn't see -- the doubts, the sacrifices, and the work of constantly evolving beyond the story so many think they know," Djokovic said in a statement. "I'm proud to share this side of my life with my family, my team, my friends, and the fans who have supported me throughout."
The Wolf in Winter hails from Words + Pictures and Sadoux Productions, and is directed by Jason Hehir (The Last Dance).
