Sean 'Diddy' Combs in solitary confinement after prison fight
· UPIJuly 24 (UPI) -- Music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs has been put in solitary confinement after allegedly being involved in a prison fight, sources familiar with the incident told media outlets Friday.
Combs, who is serving time at Fort Dix in New Jersey after he was convicted on charges of transportation to engage in prostitution, got into a fight with another inmate earlier this week and was put in solitary confinement, TMZ and USA Today reported.
"We are not at liberty to disclose or provide internal information pertaining to any inmate in our custody," FCI Fort Dix told TMZ.
"Such information would not be available for the public domain," a prison representative told the news organization.
Combs reportedly was insulted by another inmate at the prison, which led to a "heated" exchange that led to a scuffle and fist fight.
The inmates were separated by prison security and Combs was placed in solitary confinement, though it was not clear if Combs was still separated on Friday or if he will face other consequences.
Combs is scheduled to be released from prison in February 2028, at the earliest, but that would require credits for good behavior, the news organizations reported.
