Sienna Ahir - nominated for Outstanding Young Citizen - founder of Daggers Down Sienna has dedicated her youth activism to tackling knife crime and exploitation, founding Daggers Down – a powerful, youth-led safety campaign that is actively installing life-saving equipment across the region. Through her relentless advocacy and fundraising – which even included completing a gruelling sprint triathlon – Sienna has successfully delivered tangible safety interventions and national policy changes, including live saving medical kits, national political influence, educational outreach1 of 10
Reice James - nominated for Outstanding Young Citizen The 18-year-old has spent spent a third of his life volunteering. Rising to Deputy Head Cadet during his time with the West Midlands Police Cadets, Reice now serves his community as a St John Ambulance Community First Aider and Emergency Responder. His multi-faceted service spans campaigning for men's health, mentoring youth and volunteering with Sandwell Council – efforts that have earned him both the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and King’s Coronation medals.2 of 10
Sharie Kaur - nominated for Outstanding Citizen - A dedicated Sandwell volunteer recognised for her exceptional work in building trust between local communities and the police. As Chair of the Sandwell Independent Advisory Group, the former Street Watch coordinator has successfully brought representatives from all ten Sandwell Gurdwaras together to strengthen relationships between the Sikh community and policing. Following local hate crime incidents, Sharie also helped establish the pioneering Polish-Punjabi Partnership to defuse tensions, and she continues to serve her community as a trustee of Sikh Women’s Aid.3 of 10
Mohammed Zafran (R)- nominated for Outstanding Citizen - he dedicated his life to community service following the heartbreaking loss of his younger brother, who was murdered in 2010, and his blind sister, who died from cancer at just 30 years old. Rather than letting grief consume him, Zaf founded vital community organisations – including Unite & Uplift Together CIC and Midlands Community Hub CIC – to steer vulnerable youth away from crime, violence and extremism. His initiatives provide positive, life-changing alternatives through anti-violence workshops, athletic outlets, career development and crisis intervention. 4 of 10
