Kapowezha refuses to comment on Wati's future
by Sipho Mlotha · KickOffKruger United Sporting Director Elasto Kapowezha has commented on the club's position regarding co-owner Basil Khoza's attempt to buy out chairman Bongani Wati.
Apparently, Khoza wants full control of the Mpumalanga-based club and has been negotiating with Wati to leave him as the sole owner of the Betway Premiership team.
According to the club statement leaked on social media, Wati is no longer part of the club, and Treasure Mathebula will serve as interim Chief Executive Officer.

When asked by KickOff, Kapowezha could not confirm or deny the claims.
"We obviously cannot respond to what is happening on social media; the club has to officially communicate via their platforms. So, until then, there is little I or anyone at the club can say,” Kapowezha told KICK OFF.
"We are open to sharing information the club can provide, but for now, things are just being said on social media. It's not good for us, and we generally do not respond to such comments, especially about social media.
"So, if the club could communicate properly through their official platform, then we could comment."

When further pressed about whether Wati is still part of Kruger United, Kapowezha responded,
"Nah, we cannot comment on that at this stage—whether he is still part of the team or not. At the moment, the club has not issued any statement on the matter."
