Kruger chairman responds to club exit reports
by Sipho Mlotha · KickOffKruger United chairman Bongani Wati is shocked by a statement that was posted on social media stating he is no longer part of the club.
Wati co-owns the Mpumalanga province-based PSL club with Basil Khoza.
Apparently, Wati and Khoza are in buy-out talks, with Khoza set to take total control of the club.
A statement circulating on social media claims Wati has been sacked from his own club and is no longer part of the club as of 23 September 2026.

In an exclusive with KICK OFF, Wati said he was not aware of the new developments, as nothing has been communicated to him by the club.
“I don't know about that,” Wati responded to KickOff when asked about leaving the club.
“I have no idea. I have not been around. Angazi lutho. I don't know anything. I have been receiving calls and...as far as I'm concerned, I'm still part of the team. I don't know, angazi kwenzakalani [I don't know what's happening].

“I haven't been around; I've been stuck on other things, like personal stuff, and... maybe there was a resolution taken on my absent I have no idea.
“When I get back and get a chance to speak to the team, I will then know what's happening, but right now I don't know what's happening. I have no idea what is going on. I have not seen any statement.”
