The Cyberabad Traffic Police advisory said the restrictions were being imposed to facilitate the construction of the multi-level flyover and underpass at IIIT Junction.
by News Desk · The Siasat DailyHyderabad: Beginning Tuesday, October 27, the Cyberabad Traffic Police have announced traffic diversions around IIIT Junction and DLF Road in Gachibowli. This will be effective for a period of 90 days.
The Cyberabad Traffic Police advisory said the restrictions were being imposed to facilitate the construction of the multi-level flyover and underpass at IIIT Junction.
Among the affected routes is the Radisson Hotel to IIIT Junction via DLF. Henceforth, traffic coming from the Radisson Hotel towards the IIIT junction will be allowed only up to DLF Gate No. 1. Vehicles will go via Gachibowli Junction and then take a right turn at Indiranagar. TCS employees taking the Non-SEZ (CMC) gate will be allowed to enter and exit as per usual.
The other affected route is the Gachibowli Traffic Police Station to Radisson Hotel Junction via DLF. In this case, the traffic coming from the Lingampally side and going towards DLF Road will be diverted at Gachibowli Traffic Police Station via the IIIT Jn, then a left turn from the Gachibowli Junction to the Radisson Junction, and another left turn from there to reach DLF.
The advisory also noted that the flyover development works may continue for at least one year, so there would be traffic congestion in and around IIT Junction.
