Telangana: Bodhan couple electrocuted while drying clothes

Three children present at the time of the incident escaped with minor injuries.

Hyderabad: A couple died on the spot after being electrocuted while drying clothes at their home in Utpalli village of Bodhan mandal, Nizamabad district, on Monday, June 22.

The deceased have been identified as Ratnavath Sanjeev, 45, and Jyothi, 41. According to police, the couple came in contact with live electric wires while hanging out washed clothes to dry, resulting in their immediate death.

Three children present at the time of the incident escaped with minor injuries.

Police reached the spot, registered a case, and are investigating the circumstances that led to the wires becoming live.
