30-year-old Telangana law student found hanging in hostel room

Dakkali Chandrakala, a third-semester law student, was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her hostel room.

Karimnagar: A 30-year-old law student allegedly died by suicide in her room at the women’s hostel attached to Satavahana University Law College in Karimnagar on Sunday, November 1, police said.

Dakkali Chandrakala, a third-semester law student, was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her hostel room. She was alone at the time of the incident, police said.

The reason for her death is yet to be ascertained.

Based on a complaint lodged by the hostel authorities, police registered a case and launched an investigation. The body was shifted to the Government Headquarters Hospital in Karimnagar for post-mortem examination.

Chandrakala hailed from Shadnagar village in Rangareddy district, police added.
