Former BRS leader and ex-sarpanch Chintalapati Madhu was brutally murdered in Suryapet district, with police suspecting political rivalry behind the killing.
by News Desk · The Siasat DailyHyderabad: In a chilling incident suspected to be linked to a long-standing political rivalry, former sarpanch and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Chintalapati Madhu was brutally murdered in Yarkaram village of Suryapet district on Friday, May 22.
According to police, unidentified assailants allegedly attacked Madhu, killed him and later dismembered the body into three parts. The body parts were packed in separate gunny bags and dumped into the nearby SRSP canal before the accused fled the scene.
The gruesome crime came to light after local residents noticed suspicious bags in the canal and alerted authorities. Police teams rushed to the spot, recovered the body parts, and shifted them to the Suryapet District General Hospital for postmortem examination.
Forensic teams collect evidence
Senior police officials launched an investigation, while forensic teams collected evidence from the crime scene. Authorities suspect that old political enmity may have triggered the murder.
According to reports, Madhu was previously named as the prime accused in the murder case of former sarpanch Midde Ravinder, which had created intense factional tensions in the village over the past few years.
