Hyderabad: As Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Hyderabad on Monday, November 2, Telangana Minister Ponnam Prabhakar sought a meeting with him to discuss matters regarding Backwards Classes Welfare.

Shah is in Hyderabad to participate in the ‘Loktantra Bachao Araajakta Hataao’ march organised by the Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The march will be conducted from Nizam College to MJ Market in Nampally. Prabhakar announced that state representatives and Backwards Classes (BC) leaders are seeking a direct audience with Shah.

In an interview with ANI, the Telangana Backwards Classes Welfare Minister said, ” During Amit Shah’s visit to Hyderabad, we demand that BJP MPs and representatives from the Backwards Classes (BC) request a meeting with him. With a national census currently underway, we demand that a specific option for the Backwards Classes be included.”

Prabhakar sought accountability from the Centre on deletion of voters from electoral rolls. ” We urge Amit Shah to address the issue of ‘vote theft’ specifically, the complaints regarding the distribution of Form 6 and Form 7 documents, allegedly facilitated by the RSS office and BJP leaders, which are being used to remove voters from the electoral rolls,” he concluded.
