Las Vegas police officer arrested on domestic violence charges

A Metropolitan Police Department officer was arrested on domestic violence charges, the department said in a news release Saturday.

Jeremiah Jordan, 22, was arrested Friday on one count of domestic violence with use of a deadly weapon, three counts of coercion domestic violence with threat or use of physical force and one count of domestic battery, according to Metro and jail records.

“Jordan has been employed with LVMPD since 2023,” the release said. “He is assigned to the Community Safety Division, Enterprise Area Command. Jordan will be placed on suspension of police powers without pay pending further investigation.”

The news release did not provide details of the allegations that led to Jordan’s arrest or the charges he faces.
