President Trump to make return visit to Nevada next week

President Donald Trump will return to Nevada next week to promote his administration’s tax policies, according to the White House.

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt unveiled Trump’s travel plans on Wednesday while highlighting the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” the president signed last year.

She specifically mentioned the tax provisions related to tips, overtime and Social Security benefits.

“I’m proud to report that the president will be traveling next week to the great states of Nevada and Arizona to tout this historic accomplishment over the course of the next week,” she added.

Trump made frequent Nevada stops during his 2024 presidential campaign, including a “no tax on tips” event, and returned to Las Vegas for a rally days after he was inaugurated for his second term.

Leavitt did not specify what cities Trump would visit or possible dates. The White House said details would be available later. The Nevada Republican Party did not immediately react to the announcement.

Trump has told the story about how his “no tax on tips” policy was born during a campaign stop in Las Vegas in the run-up to his re-election.

Under the “big beautiful bill,” take-home pay for workers would increase by $1,675 per year, on average, until the provision lapses at the end of 2028, the White House Council of Economic Advisers previously said.

Meanwhile, the Nevada Democratic Party responded to news of Trump’s planned visit, tying the president to Gov. Joe Lombardo’s policies.

“As Donald Trump’s cost-raising agenda pummels our economy, his Cheerleader-in-Chief Joe Lombardo is ready to kiss the ring,” a statement said. “From telling Nevadans to ‘feel a little pain’ from tariffs to praising his budget bill that gives billionaires permanent tax cuts at the expense of working families, Lombardo caves to Trump every chance he gets.”

Lombardo’s campaign did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment.
