Man in connection with domestic violence call on loose after crash in west Las Vegas Valley

A man remains at large after a domestic violence call led to a crash Thursday afternoon in the west Las Vegas Valley.

Police received a call of a family disturbance around 1:55 p.m. near the 12700 block of Blue Diamond Road, near Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, according to a Metropolitan Police Department release. The caller reported that a man was battering a woman inside a vehicle.

Officers found the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop; however, the vehicle fled. The vehicle was later involved in a crash near the 215 Western Beltway and West Sahara Avenue.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

This is an active scene, and the investigation is ongoing. Traffic is being impacted because of investigation, and drivers are asked avoid the area.
