President Donald Trump took aim at two wealthy music icons, Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen, in a string of posts on Truth Social Friday morning. Both musicians are vocal critics of the president and have sparred with him in the past.
In a post on his social platform Truth Social, Trump said: "Has anyone noticed that, since I said 'I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,' she’s no longer 'HOT?'"
In a separate post, Trump bashed Springsteen as “Highly Overrated” and “not a talented guy," over his recent statement critical of the president during a concert in London, UK.

“I see that Highly Overrated Bruce Springsteen goes to a Foreign Country to speak badly about the President of the United States,” Trump wrote. “Never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics and, importantly, he’s not a talented guy.”
Several commentators took to social media to react to the president's remarks.
Bloomberg News correspondent David Gura said in a post on the social platform X: "Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, which concluded in December, sold $2,077,618,725 in tickets. As @sisario noted, that is 'double the gross ticket sales of any other concert tour in history.'"
Reacting to Trump's remarks regarding Swift, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) wrote: "'Poor man wanna be rich. Rich man wanna be king. The king ain’t satisfied ‘til he rules everything.'—Springsteen, Badlands."

The account @NewReaganCaucus said: "Taylor Swift is 35 and she's been able to make $1.6 billion writing and performing pop songs. Just incredible talent, hard work, and skill."
Political action committee The Lincoln Project's X account wrote: "Reminder: the Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen posts are just to distract from the Qatari 'gift' or the fact that he's trying to rip Medicare and Medicaid from millions of Americans right now."
Democratic strategist Mike Nellis wrote: "The Walmart and other retailers are hiking up prices because of the tariffs, and he's panicked about it—so we're going to see new levels of BS distractions, like him attacking Taylor Swift out of nowhere. It works well enough when you're a candidate, but not when you're in charge."
Journalist Lesley Abravanel wrote: "First Taylor Swift, now Springsteen. Can someone, like, invite this bloviating, felonious buffoon onto Dancing With the Stars, or to replace Mario Lopez or the overworked Ryan Seacrest on some show? He obviously craves to cover showbiz. Put us all out of its misery ffs!"

Political analyst Larry Sabatto said: "77 million Americans voted for a President who spends his time on Air Force One (the real one) trashing Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen."
