Perez Hilton Rushed to Hospital After Allegedly Livestreaming Suicide Attempt

Perez Hilton remains hospitalized after authorities responded to his South Florida home following a mental health crisis that unfolded during a social media livestream, reports Page Six. Hilton, whose legal name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., prompted concern from viewers on Tuesday night after reportedly sharing what appeared to be videos of himself engaging in self-harm, which lead multiple people to contact emergency services on his behalf. According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived at the residence and used crisis intervention tactics to safely reach Hilton before he was transported to a local hospital by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

Hilton’s representatives reportedly told Page Six that they were unable to immediately reach him following the livestream and asked for privacy as loved ones focused on his recovery. According to authorities, mental health professionals were also brought in to assist family members at the scene.

The ordeal follows a series of recent health setbacks for Hilton. Earlier in 2026, he revealed that he had been hospitalized with complications from an ulcer and sepsis. Months later, he disclosed that he underwent emergency surgery after doctors discovered a serious blood clot. After the surgery, Hilton reported that he had found god. “God presented himself to me and then did something. Something I can only call miraculous… it was real, and this has been life-changing,” he said.

“I’ve been crying, but happy tears. Happy tears. Because this is just, this is just so crazy. I’ve been reading the Bible, and so much of what is said here I had already been thinking of,” he said while holding up a Bible. “It’s just overwhelming in the best, most beautiful way.”

Hilton has not publicly commented since the self-harm incident. His family and management team did release a statement asking for privacy.  “Many of you have reached out with concern for Perez, and we are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of love, support, and prayers,” the statement began.  “Our family’s focus right now is on his well-being . We kindly ask that you respect Perez’s privacy, as well as the privacy of his family, during this difficult time. If and when we are able to share any updates, we will do so with everyone as soon as we can. Thank you for your compassion, understanding, and continued support.”
