Fight leads to deadly shooting in Fort Worth, killing two

Fort Worth Police said it happened at a gathering in a backyard

Two men are dead and two others are injured after a fight led to a shooting at a backyard gathering early Sunday morning.

According to Fort Worth Police, at about 3:32 a.m., officers arrived at the 4300 block of Martin St. after reports of a shooting.

Officers learned there was a large gathering in the backyard of a residence.

Police said a fight between a man and a woman who know each other broke out. Another man tried to intervene, and the two other men got involved in a fight that escalated. Police said the men pulled out guns, hitting a total of four people.

FWPD said two men died at the scene, including the man who tried to intervene.

Two other men, including the shooter, were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds. It's unclear what their condition is.
