Fort Worth shooting leaves man dead, another charged with murder

Authorities believe this is an isolated incident, as the man who died and the man who was detained knew each other.

A man is dead and another is behind bars following an early morning shooting in Fort Worth on Saturday.

Officers responded to a shooting call at a home in the 8300 block of N. Riverside Dr. at approximately 3:36 a.m. Upon their arrival, a man was found suffering from a gunshot wound. Fort Worth Fire arrived some time later and pronounced the injured man dead.

Another man, Johnathan Hernandez, was also there and surrendered to officers with his hands raised and was detained. He was booked and is now facing a murder charge.
