A Lamar Middle School teacher in Flower Mound is on leave as police and school administrators investigate allegations that he took photographs of students and posted them online without their consent.

The male teacher has not been charged with a crime.

NBC 5 spoke with two concerned parents whose daughters attend Lamar Middle School. NBC 5 is withholding their identities to keep the identity of their child private.

The girl’s mother said she is frustrated by what she says is a lack of information and her father says he doesn't think school officials are handling the situation the right way.

"I’m upset and angry and feel like I’m not being told anything about my child," the girl's mother said.

The parents are demanding transparency from Flower Mound police and Lewisville ISD about photos a male teacher allegedly captured of their daughters and others and posted online.

The girl’s mother said her child told her about the allegation after school.

"I picked up my child from school, she got in the car and the first thing she said was my pic was taken by a teacher and I don’t know what happened," said the child's mom.

Later that night, the parents said the principal sent a message to families saying a male teacher “is currently on leave from Lamar while the district investigates personnel matters.”

The girl’s father said the family has been given few details about the images.

"They don’t specify, they say one of the pictures of my child was sitting down," said the child's father.

The girl’s mother said she asked what platform the photos were posted on, but the school said it could not release that information while the investigation was ongoing.

In a statement to NBC 5, Lewisville ISD confirmed it recently received information alleging photos of some Lamar Middle School students in classrooms were online without authorization and that they were looking into the allegations and that they'd involved police.

“LISD recently received information alleging photos of some Lamar Middle School students in our classrooms were online without authorization. The students shown in the images were fully clothed and there is no indication that students were physically harmed,” the district said. “As LISD began investigating who took the pictures and why they were taken, we immediately reported this information to law enforcement and they began an investigation,” the district said.

NBC 5 shared the district’s statement with the parents, who said it did not answer their questions or give them any indication if the images were still online.

"That doesn’t tell me basically anything," the girl's father said.

Flower Mound police would only confirm that its criminal investigations division is investigating the case. Lewisville ISD said it has not been made aware of any criminal charges, but the investigation is ongoing.

The girl’s father said trust has been broken.

"She's still in shock," the girl's father said.
