Pickup truck driver killed in crash with tractor-trailer on I-35W in Burleson

Northbound I-35W traffic is being diverted to the service road at Bethesda Road following the crash, and the Bethesda Road entrance ramp is closed.

A man was killed early Monday morning in a crash involving a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer on Interstate 35W in Burleson, police said.

According to the Burleson Police Department, officers responded to the fatal crash around 4:22 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2, in the 1700 block of northbound I-35W.

Police said the driver of the pickup truck, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene. The occupant of the tractor-trailer was not injured.

The identity of the man who died has not been released.

The Texas Department of Transportation is assisting with traffic control.

Police said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
