2 killed in Fort Worth crash, parts of I-20 shut down
Eastbound lanes closed from Hulen Street to Trail Lake Drive during investigation

According to an update from Fort Worth Police, the crash happened just after 2:20 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I‑20 near Granbury Road.
When officers arrived, they found a passenger who had been ejected from one of the vehicles and was pronounced dead at the scene from their injuries. Police say both drivers were pinned in their vehicles.
First responders extricated one driver, who was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. The other driver died at the scene.
Fort Worth traffic detectives are leading the investigation into what led up to the crash.
As of 6 a.m. on Tuesday, eastbound I‑20 is closed at Hulen Street, extending to Trail Lake Drive, while investigators work the scene and crews clear the wreckage. There’s no estimate yet on when the highway will fully reopen.
Drivers should expect major delays and consider using Altamesa Boulevard, Interstate 30, or Loop 820 as alternates until the closure is lifted. Allow extra time if you’re heading toward the Chisholm Trail Parkway or the downtown corridor.
