Fight leads to fatal shooting in Fort Worth, police say

Fort Worth Police said one person is dead and another is in the hospital after an overnight shooting.

One person is dead and another in the hospital after a fight led to a fatal shooting in Fort Worth, according to police.

The Fort Worth Police Department said around 2:23 a.m. on Aug 1, East Divisions Officers responded to call about a fight at the intersection of Miller Ave. and East Berry St.

According to a news release, officers found a man with a gunshot wound at the 4100 block of East Berry St. Fort Worth Police said first responders tried to save the man's life, but he died at the scene.

Investigators learned a second gunshot victim was taken to the hospital by private vehicle. Police said that person has a gunshot wound to the leg, but was in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.

Homicide detectives are investigation the shooting.
