Three men are recovering from their injuries after being shot at an apartment party in Arlington on Sunday morning.

Arlington officers responded to calls of what was initially reported as a fight at an apartment complex in the 900 block of Terrell Circle. Police arrived on scene around 3:30 a.m. to find several people who waved them down and pointed them to three men who had gunshot wounds.

Those three men, ages 23, 36, and 45, were taken to local hospitals and are expected to survive.

Preliminary investigation led authorities to believe that two suspects showed up to the party and started a fight. One of the suspects allegedly retrieved a gun and fired multiple shots during the fight. The two suspects then got into a vehicle and left, according to police.

Officers noted seeing a pickup truck, which was later identified as the suspect vehicle by witnesses, leaving the area at a high rate of speed as they arrived at the scene.

The vehicle was found a short time later after Arlington police put out a BOLO to all sides of town and neighboring agencies.

Mansfield PD and the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office found the vehicle in Mansfield, made a traffic stop, and detained two men inside. The men were subsequently arrested after a witness confirmed they were the shooting suspects.

19-year-old Alexander Rubio, who was driving the pickup, was booked into the Arlington City Jail on three counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and one count of Fleeing a Police Officer.

40-year-old Cristian Rubio Lora was charged with three counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
