1 dead, 1 injured in Starbucks shooting in Allen

Police received reports of a shooting at 5:59 p.m. on Friday.

Allen police are investigating a shooting at a Starbucks that left one person dead and another injured.

Officers responded to the Starbucks at 969 State Highway 121 around 6 p.m. Friday after reports of a shooting.

Police say an altercation between two people left both with gunshot wounds. Investigators believe the shooting was related to domestic violence.

Both were taken to area hospitals, where one was later pronounced dead. The condition of the other person is unknown.

The identity of the person who died is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The investigation is ongoing.
