Salim becomes ‘Sanju’ to trap Hindu girl, kills her on 'Karwa Chauth' as she insisted marriage

In yet another clear-cut case of love jihad, a Hindu teenage girl was killed and buried by her Muslim boyfriend, who hidden his real identity while getting close to her.

Tragically, the young woman was murdered on the festival of “Karva Chauth”, when women observe fast and pray for long life of their husbands and partners.

According to police, the girl got pregnant and wanted to marry the man, who introduced himself as ‘Sanju’ to her in the beginning of their relationship.

Sonia, a Delhi-based 19-year-old girl was active on social media and had thousands of followers.  She posted pictures and videos of herself along with her boyfriend Sanju, who was later identified as Saleem, the police said, adding that she wanted to ensure good life to her family by being active on social media platforms.

He allegedly killed and buried her along with two of his aides in Rohtak of Haryana, as the girl was insisting him to marry her. She also wanted to keep the baby while the man was against it.

The body of the deceased was dug out from a field in Rohtak, the police said, adding that the girl was seven months pregnant when she was murdered.

The couple, it said, used to fight over the issue frequently, and on Monday, October 21, she went to meet the accused after taking a few things from her home.

The Delhi Police got a complaint on October 23, leading to the arrest of the accused. The accused later confessed to the crime, the police said, adding that admitted that he had premeditated the murder and involved his friends Ritik and Pankaj in the act.

On the fateful night, as Sonia left her home with her belongings, she met the accused in the Nangloi area. He then drove her directly to Rohtak, where he allegedly strangled her and buried her body in the forests before returning to Delhi later that night.

Saleem and one of his accomplices have been held, while the other is absconding, the police added.
