From Kitchen to Controversy: Noida Pizza Shop Lands in Police Net After Viral Spitting Video

by · TFIPOST.com

A shocking controversy has erupted in Noida after a viral video showed a Muslim pizza shop operator spitting while preparing food for customers. The incident surfaced from Chaura village in Sector 22 under the Sector 24 police station area and quickly triggered outrage across social media.

The accused, identified as Muzammil, reportedly runs a food outlet called Pizza Hunt in the locality. The viral clip shows him spitting while preparing pizza before serving it to customers. As the video spread online, residents expressed anger and demanded strict action.

The matter escalated when activists from the Hindu Raksha Dal reached the shop after seeing the footage online. Members of the organisation claimed they had earlier received information about suspicious activities at the outlet. They later checked CCTV footage and said it supported the allegations.

Hindu Organisations Hand Accused to the Police

Sonu Sharma, identified as the Khoda president of the Hindu Raksha Dal, said activists caught the accused while he was preparing food. They later handed him over to the police. Reports also stated that some activists assaulted the accused before officers intervened.

The organisation alleged that the act was deliberate and not accidental. Activists accused the shop operator of violating public trust and hurting the sentiments of customers. They also claimed the viral video, said to be around one minute and 22 seconds long, shows the act taking place more than once.

As news of the incident spread, crowds gathered outside the shop. Tension briefly rose in the area before Sector 24 police reached the spot and restored order. Officers then detained Muzammil for questioning.

Accused Claims He Was Blowing Flour Off Dough

During questioning, Muzammil reportedly denied intentionally spitting on the pizza. He told police that he was only blowing excess flour off the dough while preparing the pizza base.

Police have not accepted that explanation so far. Officials said they are examining the footage carefully and verifying the authenticity of the video. Investigators are also speaking to residents and collecting additional evidence.

Authorities confirmed that they have already initiated preventive legal action. Police added that the investigation remains ongoing and further steps will depend on the findings.

Officials also urged people not to spread rumours or inflammatory content on social media until the probe concludes.

Fresh Questions Over Food Hygiene

The controversy has once again raised concerns about hygiene violations in food preparation. Uttar Pradesh has witnessed similar incidents in recent years involving vendors accused of spitting on rotis and sugarcane juice while preparing food items.

The Noida case has now become part of a wider public debate over accountability and food safety. For many residents, the issue goes beyond one viral video. They see it as a serious breach of customer trust and basic public hygiene standards.

As the investigation continues, pressure is mounting on authorities to take visible action and reassure customers that such incidents will not go unchecked.
