Letter to the editor: You can’t negotiate with psychopaths

If I had a one on one conversation with President Trump about how to address Iran, I would start by saying that I was a combat-wounded Marine Vietnam War veteran on a 100% disability. I fought against mentally depraved regimes that want to enslave our world with their corrupted ideology.
I liken Iran’s leaders to a deadly cancer that wants to kill humanity one country at a time. I have dealt with three bouts of cancer, so to me, allowing Iran’s current leadership to remain is like having cancer in your hand and just cutting off your little finger rather than the entire hand. It will continue to kill.
I have heard Gen. John “Jack” Keane say many times on Fox News that we can’t trust Iranian leadership to operate the way a normal country would.
In Vietnam, our government tried to win the hearts and minds of the people, but the communists’ hold on them — through torture, rape and murder — compelled them to live in fear, much like the people in Iran and every other country poisoned by socialist/communist despots.
From my perspective, Mr. President, you can’t make a deal with murderous psychopaths because they have only one agenda on Earth, that is to kill as many as they can without any remorse or sympathy.
