America has a Constitution, and America has a Fourth Amendment guaranteeing the citizens are safe from the government’s unwarranted searches and seizures.
But the status of the Fourth Amendment stands on shaky grounds.
As Robert Frommer, senior attorney with the Institute for Justice points out, the development and use of surveillance technology has been stretching the boundaries of government powers.
“We want to beat China,” Frommer said. “We don’t want to be China.”
