Midterms may be ‘the economy, stupid’ — but then why vote socialist?
by Cheryl K. Chumley · The Washington TimesOPINION:
Voters want candidates to start talking about economic issues, because those are the issues that matter most to voters, Pew Research Center found in a newly released survey. But if the economy is the top concern — if it is still, as former President Bill Clinton famously said, “It’s the economy, stupid” — then the worst outcome of November’s elections would be wins by socialists. Or democratic socialists. Or DSA-backed Democrats — whatever they’re calling themselves then.
Fact is, socialists have a long and inglorious history of destroying entire nations’ economies, devastating the means of production — including the human will to produce — and starving the populations to the point of mass death.
So if the economy is truly top concern for American voters, the key concept to remember while casting a ballot is: Don’t vote socialist. Flee the socialists.
Unfortunately, and thanks to the Democrats and their dumbing down of their publicly educated voters and their simultaneously opened border doors to all manners of criminally minded who simply wanted to come to America to exploit America’s freedoms and charitable nature and wealth — unfortunately, the Democrats have conditioned their masses to believe that government’s proper role is to give them stuff. And by give, it’s meant: Take from those who have the stuff.
Wealth tax? Hells, yah.
Medicaid for able-bodied young men? You betcha.
Free food for kids at school — free food for shoppers in New York City — free, free, free junk food on the taxpayer dime that courts say can’t be curbed or cut? Yay, Team Democrats. Why work for a living when there are plenty of people whose hard-earned dollars can be used instead.
That’s what the government is for, Democrats say.

“Democrats overwhelmingly say they consider their vote for Congress this fall a vote against Trump — 81 percent view their vote this way,” Pew wrote.
It’s more important for Democrats to politically cripple President Trump than it is for them to realize their own party has become a cesspool of broken, destructive, dark ideas that will, if fully realized, result in a dramatic reshaping of America’s foundations leading to the loss of everything that’s great about this nation.
Socialism means the death of the free market, where those of creative mind and determined nature can reap the rewards of their own hard work. It means the abolition of freedoms currently held as cherished, God-given rights — the right to defend self and family, via the Second Amendment; the right to speak and express thoughts and ideas freely, without fear of censorship or punishment, via the First Amendment; the right to privacy and the right to be presumed innocent, so that government cannot behave like China and surveil and track and arrest and imprison at will or whim. Socialism means the loss of individualism and the cold, black grip of collectivism.
The only economic gain under socialist rule is for the chosen few, the select circle, the preferred partners-in-socialist ideology whom those in the power roles deem worthy. As for the rest? Redistribution of wealth and resources only lasts for a season, and after that — after all the producers and creators and inventors and business geniuses are used and abused to the point of giving up — the poverty sets in; the people panic; the chaos intensifies; and society erupts. Communism is the next step, and when that fails, total despotism and authoritarianism.
“Economic issues are top of mind for voters in the midterms this year,” Pew wrote.

Well, don’t vote Democrat.
Don’t vote Democrat because a vote for a Democrat is a vote for socialism.
The way to boom an economy is to let capitalism and creative ingenuity flow. And those are not actions today’s Democrats will take.
