I slept in a coffin- Undertaker confesses

An undertaker named, Yaw Preprah has disclosed how he shockingly slept in a coffin even though he had not bought the farm.

The undertaker noted that, “Even I slept in a coffin at Asanteman council. Just here, at Asanteman council, I slept in a coffin”.

Speaking in an interview with GH Page, Yaw Preprah shared that the way some bereaved families treat them is an eyesore, noting that it left him with no choice but to sleep in a coffin.

According to him, more often than not, they are not provided with accommodation when people book them, hence, they either have to sleep in the same room with the dead body or find their way out.

Sharing what happened, Yaw Preprah said that “when they booked us, they told us that accommodation was available. We went with 6 people. Most of them had to sleep outside”.

He added “I didn’t want to get out, or keep an arm’s length from the body, I slept on the same bed with the deceased, but I later realized that it was better to sleep in the coffin, that way, I would even scare the family”.

He concluded that “In the morning, they came and searched for me but didn’t find me. But when they opened the coffin, they saw me and most of the things in the room got spoilt because of the fear in them after seeing me in the coffin”.
