A tragic incident has been reported in Oyibi, where a young man identified as Theophilus Ashitey has been unalived after going missing during a meeting with individuals posing as potential car buyers.

According to reports, Ashitey had advertised a vehicle for sale online and later received interest from persons who requested to meet him.

He subsequently left his residence in Oyibi to finalise the transaction. He was accompanied by a friend identified as Wisdom Tetteh, who later became a key figure in the case after Ashitey was reported missing.

Police investigations led to the arrest of Tetteh, who is said to have confessed to the unaliving of Ashitey.

Authorities indicate that the suspect acted in connection with the planned meeting under the pretence of purchasing the vehicle.

Further reports suggest that the suspect burned the victim’s body in a bush area near the University of Ghana in an attempt to conceal evidence.

Law enforcement officials have confirmed that investigations are ongoing as they work to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the incident, including whether other individuals were involved.
