Two Brothers Drown While Trying To Rescue Younger Sibling In Volta Region

Two brothers have drowned in an abandoned quarry lake at Live Donorkope while attempting to rescue their younger sibling.

The victims have been identified as Felix Dogbey, 18, and Christian Dogbey, 25.

According to reports, the tragic incident occurred when the brothers’ 9-year-old sibling began drowning in the abandoned quarry lake.

Felix Dogbey reportedly jumped into the water first and saved the child. However, after rescuing the boy, he encountered difficulties in the water and eventually drowned.

His elder brother, Christian Dogbey, is said to have also entered the lake in an attempt to rescue Felix, but sadly drowned as well.

Following the incident, rescue teams launched a search operation and later recovered the bodies of the two brothers from the lake.

The tragedy has left residents and community members in shock, with many mourning the loss of the young men who died while trying to save their sibling.
