Local Nonprofit Forced to Leave Office After 30 Years In Wichita Falls, Texas

Taft Counseling Center received devastating news when they were unexpectedly told to vacate their office after being there for 30 years. The center is now asking for the community's help as the center and its employees scramble to relocate and cover associated costs.

Taft Counseling Center is nonprofit providing therapy to Wichita Falls and surrounding Texas community. The center has been established in Wichita Falls since 1979. For 45 years, Taft Counseling Center "has worked diligently to meet the increased mental health needs of the greater Wichita Falls area and has never refused anyone needing help, regardless of their socioeconomic status."

Taft Counseling Center seeking donations to assist with moving costs.

Since they learned of their unexpected move, Taft Counseling Center has been scrambling to find a place to relocate and establishing the funds to make the move possible. A GoFundMe page has been set up by Grayline Research Center to assist Taft Counseling Center with their move.

The center's goal is to raise $21,000 to help with the move, which includes, but is not limited to, establishing new signage and moving technology. According to the GoFundMe page, the office is expected to be completely moved out by Nov. 22.
